Pets Week 3!

We had another wonderful week in Kinder Prep!  We enjoyed learning about pets through books, songs, crafts, and role playing!   

         We learned all about the letter F!

         We worked on fine motor skills by painting and cutting!

We had some fun making and playing with fish tanks!

Pretending to be veterinarians taking care of sick pets. 

Using our color of the week to stamp things that start with the letter "f".  Some of our friends really loved stamping and their pages ended up being just blue. 😉

           These are our table top centers we do for morning work.  They include puzzles, letter writing, number writing, letter and number matching, shape games, and fine motor activities to strengthen our fingers!

Wearing blue and sharing our things that start with letter "f".  We brought frogs, fire trucks, fingers, fire hat, footballs, flowers, pictures of our family, fish, a fish hat, a fan, a frisbee, and a farm!

And of course, having FUN together!

This week in Bridge we learned about the life cycle of a frog. We sang a song about metamorphosis, read books about frogs and their life cycles, and made a book and a poster plate to help us remember the different stages that frogs go through.

Family and Friends Week #2

As you know, today was wear red day and bring something that started with the letter "L".  We had so many interesting things that started with the letter "L" like Lucky Charms, Legos, lion, lightsabor, Lighting McQueen, lollipop, lighthouses, lock, lettuce, Leonardo, lamb, lemons, limes and the book "Llama Llama Red Pajamas".

These are our morning work centers.  After we hang our bag and write our name to hang on the welcome board, we find our name at our new center for the week.

Here we are working on our names.  We practiced recognizing our name among other names, tracing our names, and building our names.

We talked about our families and made a poster to show what our families look like and what they like to do.

We also made a poster with some of our friends from class.  We are so lucky to have so many special friends at school!

First Week of School and All About Me

We have been very busy this week learning about our new friends and the rules!  There is so much to learn this year and we are excited to share it with our new friends.
