Our Little Pumpkins

We had a great week learning about pumpkins and fire safety.  We also learned about the letter "U", the number 6, and the color brown.  Check out some of the fun we had!

We graphed the letter "U" items by long and short sounds.  We had a lot more short letter "U" sounds!

These are some things bought with our Trike-a-thon money.  Thank you for the new Magnetiles, train table, and awesome science center!

Reading our weekly book.  Look at those great readers using their pointer fingers!

The fire department came to teach us about fire safety!

Our class presenting the firefighters with our thank you poster.  Special thanks to Kate's Dad for sharing your time and talents with us!

Cute Pumpkins!

Exploring pumpkins together.

Counting how many pumpkin seeds are in one handful. 54!  Wow!

It floats!

Happy Birthday Cash!

In Bridge this week, we extended our learning about fire safety and pumpkins.  We also worked on letter sounds and counting.

Letter sound dominoes.

One of the fun prayers we say before we eat lunch together.

We made fire.

We used pumpkin candy to practice counting in ten frames.  YUM!

Blessings on your weekend!

Leaves, Leaves, Leaves

What a wonderful week of fall!  We enjoyed reviewing our letters, learning our color word orange, working on the number 5, and graphing.  We explored leaves in many different ways, as well.
Enjoy the pictures!

In Bridge class, we enjoyed exploring and sorting leaves.  We worked on matching letters, shapes, and numbers.  Enjoy the pictures!

A big thank you for everyone that supported our Trike-a-thon!  We had a wonderful evening!  It was so good to see everyone.  I look forward to sharing the neat things we are able to get for our school through the funds that were raised.  Thanks again!!!

Happy Fall Break!
