The Wonderful World of Insects

What a wonderful week exploring insects!  We enjoyed making a beehive, caterpillars, collecting bug jars, and learning about the butterfly life cycle. We have also been busy working on special projects for the end of the year!!!

We have really been working on getting those tricky color words. We made books about colorful insects to help us practice this. 

We counted insects too!

In Bridge this week, we made grasshoppers, fireflies, ladybugs, and learned about the life cycle of a butterfly.  We also read our scholastic reader about Teeny Tiny Ants and a small reader about things an insect could do.  

We had fun reading this book on our own to our friends!

All About Plants

We enjoyed learning about the parts of a plant this week!  

We started off our week with celebrating our good behavior with a pajama popcorn party!

We worked on sounding out words and changing them to make new words. B

We played a math game adding two numbers.  Later we made it harder by adding three.

Pond Life

This week we learned all about life at the pond!   We learned about frogs, turtles, ducks, herons, striders, golden finches, and so much more!

I want to start this week with sharing how sweet our kids are.  The Mustard Seed opened up just down on the end of the strip.   Check out their giving hearts!
